Century High School in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking qualified candidates for our Varsity Head Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, JV Head Coach and JV Assistant Coach positions. Our program is growing and we're looking to add passionate, committed individuals to help maintain a strong coach-to-player ratio and foster a positive team culture.
Ideal candidates will:
Have a solid understanding of all aspects of the game, including offense, defense, and transitions.
Posses strong position-specific knowledge
Be able to attend all meetings, practices, games, film sessions, team building events, and program promotions.
Promote positive coaching techniques and help build a strong lacrosse culture within the school and community.
Take proactive steps to support healthy athletes in areas such as attitude, diet, injury prevention, and sportsmanship.
Collaborate with the Varsity coaching staff to ensure developmental consistency across the program.
Communicate effectively with players and parents.
Be punctual, dependable, and team oriented.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
Previous high school coaching experience
College-level playing experience but not necessary
Additional requirements:
Candidates must meet all district and school background check and training requirements before working with athletes
