2025 Spring Season
This year we're joining forces with the Glencoe and Liberty Youth Lacrosse programs. We're still waiting for details but this will likely start around mid-April or May, and will use fun drills and small-sided games to help players discover lacrosse. We'll post updates here as we learn more.
Note: Other than a lacrosse stick and athletic shoes (or cleats), no other specialized equipment is necessary.
The following equipment is required to play boys lacrosse (grades 3-8 and high school). Required equipment can be purchased online or at a local retailers like Dick's Sporting Goods or Lacrosse Hub NW (previously "LaxNW TRF"). Play It Again Sports and Goodwill sometimes have good finds too. Goalie specific gear is provided by each team.
Player Provides:
Lacrosse stick
For 5-8th grade youth, you'll want a men's stick (labeled for attack or midfielder position). Sticks labeled as youth, junior, or boys are smaller and quickly out grown.
5/6 grade defenders use standard midfielder/attack length sticks.
Lacrosse helmet (white helmet is required for high school team)
Lacrosse shoulder pads (must meet NOCSAE ND200 Standard, effective January 2022)
Lacrosse elbow pads
Lacrosse gloves
Mouthguard
Athletic cup
Cleats (e.g. lacrosse, football, soccer, or baseball. No Metal Cleats.)
Team Provides:
Uniform (High School) - To be returned at end of season
Game Pinnies (Youth 5-8th grade) - To be returned at end of season
Goalie gear
7/8th grade team provides defensive sticks, aka "long poles".
